Have fun and ambition, make a few friends,
Succeed, propose toasts and be worth a few,
Get heartbroken, figure out what love is,
(Report your conclusions back to me, boy)
Keep close the fact that you’re not always young,
Accept mortality, say charming things,
drink good whiskey, smoke Turkish cigarettes,
get in a scuffle for the girl you love,
dress to kill, set the discotheque on fire,
Flirt shamelessly, make art (even if bad),
Look back upon death and say: twas worth it.
